Where do I get my ideas from?

A common question I get from my readers, is where do I get my ideas from. I get my ideas from everywhere. Inspiration through my own life experiences, vicarious experiences, and random stories that just pop into my head. I promise I have about ten stories with thirty different characters all swirling in my head waiting to get out. When I get an idea, I try to almost always jot down exactly what is on my mind. This can be on scratch paper, on my laptop, or in my notes section on my phone. I am a very emotional writer. While most writers agree that you have to write each and every day to perfect your craft, it is so difficult for me to write when I am uninspired. I get so caught up in my characters and in their lives, sometimes my stories feel too real. When my own life experiences or someone else's inspires me, I take a snapshot of the incident and create a whole story from it. None of my stories are about anyone real in my life, but one day when I'm ready to write a memoir about my life it will be interesting lol! I hope this answered any questions you had about what inspires my stories. Until next time...
