ABOUT ME
Jaquita Rideau, M.Ed. is a self-published author that draws on the experiences of life to create stories with universal themes. From an early age, Jaquita demonstrated a love for reading and writing. Her favorite authors are Maya Angelou, V.C. Andrews, Eric Jerome Dickey, and Carl Weber.
In 2015, Jaquita published her first work, To Death. To Death is a fictional text that details the events in a marriage plagued by emotional and physical abuse. The following year, 2016, she published an urban fiction work entitled Keeping What's Mine under the Ruby and Emerald publishing company. The book explores the lengths individuals go through for the sake of love.
Jaquita is currently a curriculum developer residing in Austin, TX. She is the mother of two wonderful children. She is also a freelance writer, online learning consultant, and tax consultant. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, writing, and spending time with family.
She is currently working on a new book, Being Broke is Expensive: The Single Parent's Guide to Multiple Streams of Income, which is set to be released March 2020.
Future books to be on the lookout for in 2020 include: Someone You Loved, At First Sight, and From Darkness. Second editions of To Death and Keeping What's Mine will be released February 2020.
